CIO’s role in Networked Government

34 CIOs from Government Agencies concluded a workshop titled “CIO’s role in Networked Government” which was organized by e-Government Program Yesser in cooperation with Boston University in USA.

The workshop that started in 31/1/2011 lasting till 1/2/2011, addressed a set of perspectives including challenges of IT in Integration age among Government Agencies and Organizational transformation. it also threw light on the role of CIOs to lead administrative change.

Director General, Yesser Program, Eng. Ali Bin Saleh Al-Soma, pointed out that the workshop was mainly envisioned to aggregate all CIOs of Government Agencies at one space for consulting and discussing all means to push the e-Government journey forward.

He stated that such meetings are aimed at expertise exchange and knowledge sharing amongst attendees.
The workshop sought to provide attendees with a broad vision of working through partnership with the different Government sectors in addition to illustrating the distinctive role of Change management in the Advanced Agencies which worked through full interconnection amongst all internal divisions and departments.
It is worth mentioning that such a workshop was organized in its first edition continuing for 3 days during 27-29/3/1431 and was attended by 36 CIOs.
