Linked 17 Iraqi embassies abroad to E-government project

The Ministry of Telecommunications links 17 Iraqi embassies in a number of countries in the world General Directorate of Passports in Iraq, within the e-government project which is being implemented.

Qassim Mohammed, Chairman of the General Company for Post & Telecommunications of the Ministry, said that Iraqis who live in those countries can apply for a passport using the Internet.
Al-Hassani, in a press statement added that the company has to create infrastructure for the project, including a modern optical networks and messaging technology working IP, as well as provide a network of national data.
