Malaysian Group Skali Completes E-Government Job For Saudis

Skali Group has successfully completed an e-government programme for Saudi Arabia by developing a methodology and an assessment framework for evaluating and assessing the government's portal and e-services, the company said on Thursday.

The Malaysian e-business specialist was engaged by Yesser, the agency responsible for the implementation of the Saudi e-government programme.

The project, awarded last year, saw Skali carrying out a comprehensive assessment on five of the kingdom's government agencies using its developed methodology and framework and featuring a comprehensive enhancement recommendation report.

The agencies involved were Saudi Arabia's National Portal, Jeddah Municipality, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Saudi Commission of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jeddah Municipality.

Skali Group Chief Executive Officer Tengku Farith Rithauddeen said the framework was developed in conjunction with the "develop once, use many times" concept of the Yesser e-government framework.
